Fantasy Books

Here are just some fantasy books and series i really enjoyed.

The Underland Chronicles by Suzanne Collins
The Underland Chronicles are about a boy, Gregor, who falls underground in NYC and finds a world inhabited by giant bats, rats, mice, cockroaches, ants, and strange people. He (and the readers) also find a stunning adventure. I strongly recommend this series. It includes:
Gregor the Overlander
Gregor and the Prophecy of Bane
Gregor and the Curse of the Warmbloods
Gregor and the Marks of Secret
Gregor and the Code of Claw
Suzanne Collins also just came out with a new book, The Hunger Games, and it looks really good. If anyone who has read it could give me review, id really appreciate it.
Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer
You probably wouldn't expect the Artemis Fowl series to be about a 12 year old genius criminal mastermind. Then again, if you're reading this, you haven't met Artemis Fowl. The only son of a extremely wealthy couple in Dublin, Artemis Fowl has no friends, and wants none. When one of his money-making schemes lands him a fairy, he gets a lot more than he bargained for. I love the way this series takes the way you think about all sorts if things, and makes it all new again. It includes:
Artemis Fowl
Artemis Fowl: The Arctic Incident
Artemis Fowl: The Eternity Code
Artemis Fowl: The Opal Deception
Artemis Fowl: The Lost Colony
Artemis Fowl: The Time Paradox

Historical Fiction Book Summaries and Suggestions

These are just some suggestions to people who like to read historical fiction.
Ann Rinaldi Books:
A Break With Charity
-about the salem witch trials. it talks about doing the right thing even when its hard. i found it a little slow but i like really fast, adventurous books.
The Coffin Quilt
-a story about a feud between 2 families in kentucky, and a young girl caught between both sides. i thought it was incredibly informative and interesting.
Girl In Blue
-this book is about a girl who dresses up as a boy during the civil war, and when she is discovered becomes a spy. i think it would be really interesting to people who love learning about the civil war(like me)
The Staircase
-a beautiful story about a girl whose father abandons her at a convent in santa fe, new mexico, after her mother dies in the late 1800's. a carpenter comes to the city just when the convent needs a staircase built, and she persuades the nuns to hire him.
Hang A Thousand Trees With Ribbons
-a story about phillis wheatley growing up (for people who dont know, phillis wheatley was the first african american woman to publish a book

The Inheritence Cycle

This is all about Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr, and Book 4
*spoiler alert*- do not read if you haven't read all the books

i LOVE the inheritence cycle, and this page is a way for me to tell prople about my theories and opinions.
-christopher paolini said that brisingr was much more than the word for fire in the ancient language, but the true name of his sword is hardly special enough to be the name of the book, right? i heard a theory that brisingr could be eragons true name, as well as the sword. im not sure i agree, but i thought that was an interesting idea.
-could the names of the books be the 4 things closest to him? eragon(himself), eldest(the eldest, or older, brother murtagh)and brisingr(his sword). i wonder whats next? arya, saphira,?
- the cover of book 4 has to be Shruikan, then all four dragons would be on the cover(i mean, they could put an eldunari, but seriously, lol, how would that look on the cover?
